Objective:

The Amazon Shipping Team Lead oversees the shipping team's daily operations, ensuring customer orders are packed and shipped accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role focuses on supervising team members, maintaining workflow, and ensuring compliance with Amazon’s strict quality and performance standards. The Team Lead plays a critical role in driving operational success and contributing to a seamless customer experience.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Supervision:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the shipping team to meet daily operational goals.

• Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team performance to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.

• Provide coaching and guidance to team members, addressing challenges and improving productivity.

• Serve as the first point of contact for team inquiries and problem resolution.

Operational Oversight:

• Oversee all aspects of the shipping process, including order verification, packaging, and labeling.

• Ensure compliance with Amazon’s guidelines for packaging and shipping quality.

• Identify and address workflow bottlenecks, implementing solutions to maintain efficiency.

• Collaborate with the Shipping Supervisor to report progress, resolve issues, and manage resources.

Training and Development:

• Train new team members on Amazon’s shipping processes, safety protocols, and performance standards.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

• Facilitate ongoing training to ensure team members are prepared for peak demand periods and process changes.

Safety and Compliance:

• Monitor and enforce adherence to safety procedures to maintain a secure work environment.

• Perform routine safety checks and report hazards or violations to the Shipping Supervisor.

• Ensure team compliance with all Amazon operational and quality standards.

Team Collaboration:

• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting accountability and teamwork.

• Step in to assist team members with tasks during high-demand periods or staffing shortages.

• Participate in team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and process improvements.

Education:
