About the Role:

We’re looking for a passionate and strategic UX/UI Designer to craft innovative, user-friendly, and visually compelling web experiences that drive business growth. You’ll work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life and shape our digital presence.

**Preference will be given to candidates with ecommerce, DTC and Direct Response experience.

Key Responsibilities:

User Experience Design

  • Conduct and oversee user research to understand customer behavior and pain points.

  • Develop user personas and journey maps, continuously refining based on data.

  • Lead personalization-at-scale efforts, leveraging cutting-edge technologies.

  • Design and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to test concepts.

User Interface Design

  • Create visually appealing, intuitive interfaces that align with brand guidelines.

  • Implement interaction patterns, animations, and transitions to boost usability.

  • Develop and maintain a design system to ensure consistency across all platforms.

Design Leadership

  • Define and execute the UX/UI strategy, aligning with product goals and user needs.

  • Oversee the design process from concept to execution, ensuring a cohesive user experience.

  • Mentor and guide design team members, fostering their growth and adherence to best practices.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with CRO, acquisition, customer service, and development teams to ensure customer-first design solutions.

  • Gather and integrate feedback from surveys, user testing, and direct customer conversations into design iterations.

  • Present design concepts to stakeholders, clearly communicating the rationale behind decisions.

Quality Assurance & Problem Solving

  • Conduct usability testing and design reviews to validate and improve experiences.

  • Ensure designs follow usability best practices and accessibility standards.

  • Continuously iterate on solutions to solve design challenges and enhance the user journey.

Project Management

  • Manage design timelines and deliverables, ensuring alignment with product release schedules.

  • Allocate resources and prioritize projects within the design team to meet business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Skills: Expertise in UX/UI design, user research, and interaction design. Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar tools.

  • Experience: 5+ years in UX/UI design, with a track record of leading design projects and teams. Leadership experience is a plus.

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or related field; a Master’s or relevant certifications (e.g., UX Certification) is a plus.

  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking, problem-solving, and user-centered design expertise.

  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of design thinking, user-centered principles, and industry best practices. Familiarity with front-end technologies is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Setting: This position operates primarily remote work. It may require occasional visits to other company facilities or industry events.

  • Interactions: Regular interaction with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to drive design initiatives and ensure alignment with project goals.

This role is crucial for leading Truly Free’s design efforts, ensuring that our digital products provide exceptional user experiences while aligning with our strategic objectives and user needs.
