Position Title: Production Team Lead

Location: Williamsburg, MI (Onsite)

Objective
The Production Team Lead at Truly Free is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring team safety, achieving production goals, and maintaining product quality standards. This role involves leading and mentoring the production team, optimizing workflows, and upholding safety and compliance standards. The Production Team Lead will play a key role in fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement to meet and exceed company objectives.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Coordination

• Supervise, coach, and mentor production team members to ensure efficient and safe operations.
• Coordinate daily production schedules and assign tasks to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Setup equipment including roll stock/pouches to process the SKU as scheduled.
• Conduct team meetings to communicate goals, progress, and updates.

Safety and Compliance

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and other safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety checks and inspections of equipment and work areas.
• Lead by example in promoting a safety-first culture and immediately address unsafe behaviors or conditions.

Production and Quality Goals

• Monitor production metrics to ensure the team meets or exceeds established goals for output, quality, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with management to identify and resolve bottlenecks or challenges in the production process.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards before shipping.

Workflow Optimization

• Identify opportunities to improve production processes and reduce waste.
• Assist in implementing lean manufacturing practices and other efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure equipment is functioning optimally.

Training and Development

• Provide on-the-job training to new team members and ensure all employees understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Foster a positive work environment by encouraging teamwork, innovation, and professional growth.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and safety incidents.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production performance and safety metrics.
• Collaboration and Communication
• Act as a liaison between the production team and management to communicate needs, challenges, and successes.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as quality assurance and supply chain, to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications/Skills

• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.

• Proficiency in production management software and tools.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Experience

• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control processes.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles or similar methodologies is a plus.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.


Work Environment

• This position operates in a manufacturing environment and requires extended periods of

• Work may involve exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
