Position Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible to the COO for implementing leadership and executing Company goals and objectives by working with all employees to maximize growth, increase efficiency, create a professional environment and ensure that all employees work in a safe & healthful environment free from discrimination.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as the Operations Manager exercising complete authority and leadership on behalf of the COO of the Company to include production, quality assurance/control, facility management, fulfillment, HSE and human capital. Specific duties and responsibilities include.
Provide leadership to ensure that the mission, ethical values, and core guiding principles of the Company are put into practice.
Ensure all employees work in a safe & healthful environment free from discrimination.
Assist the COO in creating and implementing systems of control and cost reduction.
Serve as a key point of contact/ escalation for all supervisors in resolving any issues that arise in the daily operation of the business.
Build a foundation for excellence through the use of cost-effective processes, metrics, and best practices.
Provide guidance and assist in the development of company policy and procedures as necessary.
Assist with employee upward mobility and cross-training programs.
Oversee Production, Fulfillment, Quality, Retail, HSE, and Maintenance teams
Ensure Employee performance/throughput.
Communicating upcoming demands/forecasting for staffing.
Maintain TimeCo in conjunction with Human Resources as it pertains to leave requests and schedules
Provide leadership for the ERP implementation including training, implementation process/documentation), and change management.
Controls Over The Position:
The Operations Manager reports directly to the COO. In the absence of the COO, the Operations manager reports directly to the CEO.
Qualifications and Competencies:
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or Economics is desired but not required.
Ten years of administrative, marketing, sales, or operational management experience.
Experience may be substituted for education or a combination of both may be considered.
Proven record of accomplishment of successful management experience in a similar size and scope organization.
Proven experience and knowledge of manufacturing operations including but not limited to product formulation, sales, marketing, packaging, storage, and shipping.
Excellent ability to communicate both orally and in writing to all levels of management & labor both internal and external to the company.
Strong people management and talent development skills.
Knowledge of ERP and implementations.
Excellent computer knowledge.
Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience and offer constructive criticism when necessary.
Sound business judgment, confidentiality, demonstrated ability to exhibit consistent, impartial decision-making, and commitment to fostering open, candid communication across the company.
Must be legal to work in the United States and successfully pass a background check.
Often work in indoor environments such as a warehouse or office.
Work closely to other people
Supportive managers and co-workers in a overall healthy environment
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods standing
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
