We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our growing marketing team at a direct-to-consumer (DTC) health and wellness company. This role is focused on editing and optimizing user-generated content (UGC) sourced from creators and brand ambassadors to produce high-performing, authentic, and engaging video content across digital platforms.
The ideal candidate is fluent in the latest short-form video trends, understands storytelling through a direct response lens, and is comfortable working with raw footage from a variety of sources. You’ll transform creator-shot videos into compelling assets for social media, email marketing, paid media, and landing pages.
** Candidates will need to provide a portfolio of these types of edits/ads/short films.
Edit raw UGC footage from creators into polished, branded video content.
Create short-form video content optimized for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook Ads.
Add motion graphics, captions, sound design, transitions, and branding elements to elevate the final output.
Collaborate with the content, marketing, and growth teams to align video assets with campaign goals and brand guidelines.
Manage post-production workflows including asset organization, file naming conventions, and backups.
Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form variations for testing and distribution.
Stay current on video trends, platform best practices, and content formats that drive performance.
2+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably in a DTC or consumer brand environment.
Strong portfolio of short-form video work, especially featuring UGC or influencer content.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop) or equivalent tools (e.g. Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve).
Familiarity with editing for performance-based creative—experience with direct response is a plus.
Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and formatting for mobile-first content.
Ability to work independently with quick turnaround times and multiple projects.
A passion for health, wellness, and authentic digital storytelling is highly valued.
Experience working with UGC platforms or influencer management systems.
Basic color grading and audio mixing skills.
Knowledge of digital marketing KPIs and how to edit for engagement and conversion.
Ability to interpret creative briefs and performance data to refine content iterations.
