We believe that great health starts with a seamless, intuitive experience—and we’re looking for a Director of Human Experience Design to help lead that mission.

Position Summary:

The Director of Human Experience Design will be responsible for the end-to-end user experience across our digital ecosystem, with a focus on our ecommerce website and subscription platform. This individual will lead the UX/UI design strategy to drive conversions, reduce churn, and support the rebranding of our web presence. This role is critical in aligning business goals with customer needs through direct response design thinking and a systemized, data-informed design approach.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, direct response ecommerce, and digital product strategy, ideally within a high-growth DTC environment. You are passionate about solving user problems, validating design through research and testing, and creating intuitive journeys that convert.

** Candidate will be asked to provide a portfolio with work that showcases a call to action, rebranding, churn reduction, subscription, and conversion in direct to response design work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • UX/UI Leadership: Own the UX/UI vision and roadmap across our website, landing pages, customer portal, and mobile experiences.

  • Conversion Optimization: Design and optimize user flows with a focus on direct response design principles to drive higher conversion rates, reduce churn, and maximize customer lifetime value.

  • Website Rebranding: Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive website rebranding effort, ensuring brand consistency, accessibility, and user-centered design best practices.

  • Design Systems: Create and manage a scalable design system that supports rapid experimentation, consistent implementation, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Research & Validation: Conduct and oversee qualitative and quantitative user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to validate ideas and improve decision-making.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the internal marketing team and engineers to deliver high-impact user experiences that support business KPIs.

  • Mentorship: Manage and mentor a growing team of UX/UI designers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and user advocacy.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, product design, or human experience design—preferably in DTC, ecommerce, or subscription-based environments.

  • Demonstrated success designing high-converting digital experiences using direct response strategies.

  • Experience leading or contributing to large-scale website redesigns and brand refresh projects.

  • Deep knowledge of design systems, responsive design, and best practices in usability and accessibility.

  • Strong portfolio that showcases design process, user flows, and real-world impact on KPIs such as conversion rate, bounce rate, or retention.

  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools such as InVision or Framer.

  • Strong background in user research, user testing, and experimentation (A/B testing, multivariate testing).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with health and wellness brands or regulated industries.

  • Familiarity with CRO tools (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize).

  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and collaboration with frontend teams.

What We Offer:

  • A mission-driven team focused on improving health outcomes through thoughtful design and innovation.

  • Competitive compensation and performance-based bonuses.

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • PTO and a remote work arrangement.

  • The opportunity to shape the user experience of a leading DTC wellness brand.
